I wanted to open the parachute after descending for a while

Skydiving superstar Felix Baumgartner rode a pressurized capsule to the dizzying altitude of 71,580 feet this morning, paused to burberry ties admire the curvature of the Earth and then … jumped.

That’s when things got really wild.

“Fearless Felix” reached 364.4 mph — more than 534 feet per second — during a freefall that reportedly lasted 3 minutes and 43 seconds. Then he pulled the cord on his parachute and landed safely 30 miles from Roswell, New Mexico at 9:50 a.m. All told, he spent 8 minutes and 8 seconds falling to earth, according to the folks at Red Bull Stratos, the name of the project.

“I wanted to open the parachute after descending for a while, but I noticed that I was still at an altitude of 50,000 feet,” Baumgartner said.

Baumgartner is only the third burberry handbags outlet person in history to have jumped from such a height. As amazing as it was, the leap from 13.5 miles was but a test run for his truly insane plan for a record-setting stratospheric skydive later this summer from 23 miles up.

Reaching that altitude is almost as impressive as falling from it.

To get so high, Baumgartner, an experienced skydiver and BASE jumper with more than 2,500 jumps under his belt, rode in a pressurized capsule dangling from a 165-foot-high helium balloon. The point of today’s jump was to test the capsule, burberry beige handbag his pressurized suit and other systems.

The ascent, jump and landing took 1 hour and 40 minutes. It all went off without a hitch, though Baumgartner said it was just a bit cold at that attitude — more than 75 degrees below zero.

“I could hardly move my hands,” he said. “We’re going to have to do some work on that aspect.”

Baumgartner, 42, burberry scarves expects to break the sound barrier and freefall for at least 5.5 minutes when he jumps from 120,000 feet. Should he succeed, Baumgartner will eclipse the record Joe Kittinger, a retired Air Force colonel from Florida, has held since jumping from 102,800 feet (19.5 miles) in 1960.

Kittinger, 83, has been a mentor to Baumgartner and is among his chief advisers, along with a former NASA flight director and an engineer who worked on the B-2 bomber.

“Felix, you’re going to have one heck of a view burberry kids skirts cheap when you step out of that door,” Kittinger told Baumgartner before the flight. “Enjoy the experience.”

Only Kittinger and Russia’s Eugene Andreev have jumped from heights greater than 13.5 miles, and both men made their dives in the 1960s. Red Bull Stratos hopes to break three other records that have been on the books for more than 50 years. They include the highest manned balloon flight, the first person to break the speed of sound in freefall and the longest freefall.

Baumgartner plans another test run, from 90,000 feet, before attempting The Big One this summer. The launch burberry bags outlet window is open from July through October.

“This test serves as the perfect motivation for the team for the next step,” he said.

The Cardinals never got closer than nine points again

A group of researchers communicated burberry ties a message through 780 feet of solid stone using a beam of neutrinos, the University of Rochester announced Wednesday. When the message came out the other side, the scientists were able to read it perfectly: it said, perhaps unimaginatively, "Neutrino."

Neutrinos are nearly massless and travel very close to the speed of light, so they can pass through substances, including entire planets, with little disruption. Scientists have talked about using the particles as a messaging alternative to cables or satellites, sending messages to the other side of the earth by going through the earth, rather than going around the long way or sending messages into space and back again.

The equipment to send neutrino messages is still wildly expensive. The researchers who sent the "Neutrino" message used a particle accelerator at Fermilab with a 2.5-mile-circumference track and the 5-ton particle detector named MINERvA. To signal the message, the scientists used binary code, with a group of neutrinos fired corresponding to a 1 and no neutrinos fired corresponding to a 0. Even MINERvA can only detect about one in 10 billion neutrinos, so the particles had to be fired in very large numbers to register.

Because the equipment is so expensive, actual communication with neutrinos is still a long way off. Still, the authors note that the particles are barely affected by gravity and not affected at all by magnetism; eventually, they could provide a stable alternative to the electromagnetic waves we use now.

Maybe Vermont is on the verge of some memorable NCAA tournament moments to add to the one it most cherishes.

Four McGlynn came off burberry handbags outlet the bench to score 18 points and Vermont grabbed an early lead and hung on to beat Lamar 71-59 on Wednesday night in a first-round game.

Matt Glass added 11 points, Sandro Carissimo 10 and Brian Voelkel had 12 rebounds to help the Catamounts earn a spot against top-seeded North Carolina on Friday in Greensboro, N.C.

The Catamounts (24-11) shot 50 percent from the field, blending an inside presence with McGlynn's touch from the perimeter.

Devon Lamb and Mike James each had 16 points for Lamar (23-12), which had won six in a row since first-year coach Pat Knight ripped his seniors after a loss in late February.

It was only Vermont's second NCAA win, but the first one was something. A 60-57 upset of fourth-seeded Syracuse by the 13th-seeded Catamounts in the first round of the 2005 tournament is considered the biggest victory in school history.

McGlynn, the only player in all of Division I to lead his team in scoring (12.0) without starting a game and yet playing in every game, provided punch to Vermont's offense.

He entered in the first half and immediately ignited a rally that gave the Catamounts the lead.

Still, down by as many as 16 points early in the second half, Lamar kept hanging around. It drew to seven points when Anthony Miles, who added 14 points, drove and hit a layup while falling and completed a three-point play, burberry beige handbag then hit a 3 the next possession.

But Vermont always seemed to have an answer.

Brandon Davis followed by driving the lane and banking in a shot. After a Cardinals miss, Glass popped in a jumper and the lead was back to double figures.

Moments later, after a nifty scoop shot in traffic for a bucket by Lamar's James, McGlynn came in and promptly drilled a 3 from the right wing to make it 59-47 with just over 6 minutes left.

The Cardinals never got closer than nine points again.

The Catamounts took the lead early - which hasn't been a good sign for teams so far in the First Four. Both burberry scarves Mississippi Valley State and Iona built first-half leads and then blew them later in first-night losses to Western Kentucky and BYU, respectively.

Vermont was down 12-9 early before McGlynn starting impacting the play. He hit a 3 on his first shot, then hit another perimeter jumper to get his team in gear offensively.

The Catamounts took control with a 13-0 run, holding the Cardinals scoreless for 6 1/2 minutes. Over that span, Lamar misfired on nine straight shots from the field and had their first three turnovers.

Bergmann, who was a perfect 3 for 3 from the field in the opening half, started the spurt with a layup off a long outlet pass that led Knight to call a timeout and berate his team for allowing the easy basket behind the defense.

Brandon Bald then hit a short fade for Vermont's first lead of the game before McGlynn hit another 3 and burly Ben Crenca muscled his way burberry kids skirts cheap inside for bucket. McGlynn followed with a teardrop in the lane off glass to push the lead to 22-12.

Vermont led 30-21 at the half.

The Catamounts hit 46 percent of their shots while holding Lamar to just 9 of 31 (29 percent). Most of the Cardinals' offense was predicated on its guards, with very few shots in the paint.

Vermont was coming off a 51-43 win over top-seeded Stony Brook in the America East tournament on Saturday. Known as one of America's top teams on the road, they tied for sixth nationally with 11 road wins this year and have totaled 33 victories away from Patrick Gym over the last three years.

John Becker is in his first year as the Catamounts' head coach. He was elevated to take over when Mike Lonergan left to take the George Washington job.

Lamar, coming off a 70-49 victory over McNeese State in the Southland Conference tournament title game on Saturday, had won six in a row since Knight lit up his seniors after a Feb. 22 home loss to Stephen F. Austin. Knight is in his first season at Lamar after 3-plus seasons as the head coach at burberry bags outlet
Texas Tech where he replaced his Hall of Fame father, Bob Knight. After that home defeat, Knight blasted the "worst seniors" he'd ever been around, saying they were "stealing money being on scholarship" and that his players had problems "off the court, on the court, classroom, drugs."

NASA has placed this problem high on its list of human risks

A volcano on the island of Santorini burberry ties in Greece seems to be a bit restless, according to scientists studying the latest data.

Monitoring stations on the island indicate the Santorini caldera is awake again and rapidly deforming, said Georgia Tech researcher Andrew Newman.

“After decades of little activity, a series of earthquakes and deformation began within the Santorini caldera in January of 2011,” Mr. Newman said. “Since then our instruments on the northern part of the island have moved laterally between five and nine centimeters.”

“The volcano’s magma chamber is filling, and we are keeping a close eye on its activity,” he added.

The volcano, if it should erupt, could possibly present Greeks with tsunamis, say experts. The chamber has expanded by nearly 500 million cubic feet since last January, and could force delays in cruise lines navigating the area.

Scientist warn that the growing caldera could burberry handbags outlet damage ports and disrupt ship traffic. Even if the volcano does not erupt, the shifting caldera could increase earthquake risk, and the island cliffs are vulnerable.

Unlike a 2010 volcano in Greenland that shut down flight between the U.S. and Europe, the Greek volcano would likely not cause widespread flight delays, saving European airlines from one extra headache.

An eruption for the nation of Greece is the last thing the indebted nation would likely hope to face. Greek lawmakers are currently considering a number of austerity measures in an effort to meet conditions set by the International Monetary Fund and other institutions involved with providing financial aid for the nation.

Greece’s second bailout package can make its debt sustainable, however Athens will have to stick firmly to agreed policies until 2030 and may need more money after 2014, according to lenders. In the event of a massive eruption, it remains unclear how Greek officials would handle the issue, considering funding for addressing the issue remain tightly attached to preconditions.

More than 50,000 tourists a day flock to Santorini in the summer months (from May to October). It’s common to burberry beige handbag see as many as five cruise ships floating above the volcano. An eruption would likely result in a dip in tourism to the island, and to the nation in general.

Santorini is the site of one of the largest volcanic events in human history. The Minoan eruption, which occurred around 1650 B.C., buried the major port city of Akrotiri with more than 20 meters of ash and created Santorini’s famous, present-day cliffs.

If a Santorini eruption did occur, Mr. Newman said, it would be nothing like the Minoan eruption of 1650 B.C. that birthed the myth of Atlantis. That eruption was a once-in-100,000-year event, and the expansion of the magma chamber happening now is only 1 percent of what would have gone on prior to the ancient blast.

Scientists at the University of Texas Medical School used magnetic resonance imaging scans to look at the eyeballs and optic nerves of astronauts who'd spent an average of 108 days in orbit. In a third of cases, the optic nerve showed signs of compression from the vitreous fluid that surrounds it, decreasing blood supply and burberry scarves possibly causing permanent damage over time.

In addition, 22 per cent of those studied showed a flattening of the rear of the eyeball which, while useful for rectifying some imperfect vision, was damaging to those with normal eyesight. Over one in ten of those studied was found to have changes in the connection between the pituitary gland and the brain. The full research has been published in the journal Radiology.

"This work has certainly has raised the level of concern at NASA," team member Larry Kramer, professor of diagnostic and interventional imaging, told The Register. "As a result of the study, before publication, we've had several meetings with NASA and now every astronaut is going to be checked."

He explained that the agency was determined to do a proper study to check this out. Astronauts will be scanned to establish baseline data, again just before launch, and then immediately on their return. There are burberry kids skirts cheap also plans to get ultrasound equipment into orbit to perform in situ testing in the International Space Station.

"NASA has placed this problem high on its list of human risks, has initiated a comprehensive program to study its mechanisms and implications, and will continue to closely monitor the situation,” Dr William Tarver, chief of flight medicine clinic at NASA/Johnson Space Center said in an emailed statement

The agency may have reason to be concerned. Because of the cost of sending humans out of the gravity well it makes sense to stretch mission times as long as possible, and a trip to another planet or asteroid could take over a year to burberry bags outlet get there and back. If these effects on the eyes are cumulative over time the crew may need an optician as a mission specialist, if a technical fix can't be found.

The best defense against Griner might be a steadfast perimeter offense

The next three weeks will bring burberry handbags outlet inviting opportunity. Baylor was seeded No. 1 in the Des Moines Region on Monday and is heavily favored to win its first title since 2005. With six more victories in the tournament, the Bears (34-0) would become the first men’s or women’s team in N.C.A.A. basketball to win 40 games in a season.

During the regular season, Baylor defeated two other No. 1 seeds: Connecticut (29-4) of the Kingston Region and Notre Dame (30-3) of the Raleigh Region. It also defeated Tennessee, the eight-time national champion that is seeded second to the Bears in the Des Moines Region. (The fourth No. 1 seed in the tournament is Stanford (31-1) of the Fresno Region, which lost only to UConn.)

The Lady Vols (24-8) will carry the most poignant story line into the tournament. Coach Pat Summitt, who has won more games than any other men’s or women’s college basketball coach, announced last summer that she had early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Her role has diminished this season. There has been much speculation that she will step down after the N.C.A.A. tournament, but burberry beige handbag Tennessee has said nothing officially.

As of Sunday’s practice, “Pat said she still wants to coach,” Debby Jennings, a Tennessee spokeswoman, said in an e-mail.

In strict basketball terms, the overarching tournament question is this: Can anyone defeat Baylor?

Griner “plays above the rim and does things I’ve never seen another player do,” Baylor Coach Kim Mulkey said in a television interview during the Big 12 Conference tournament. “The thing she lacks is, she hasn’t won a national championship. That motivates her.”

Those considered among the greats of women’s college basketball — Nancy Lieberman, Cheryl Miller, Chamique Holdsclaw, Diana Taurasi and Candace Parker — all won titles. Griner seems poised to do the same this season and/or next. And she is expected to be the only college player named to the United States Olympic team for the 2012 London Games.

Last summer, Griner played with the women’s national team for the first time. Her repertory now includes a jump hook and the ability to burberry ties turn and shoot over either shoulder. Her passing is also much improved. She is shooting 61 percent from the field and averaging 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocked shots.

“She put on weight and didn’t lose any speed,” said Gary Blair, the coach at Texas A&M, the defending national champion and the last team to defeat Baylor, in a 2011 regional final. “She’s stronger finishing her midrange shots. Her spin move to the basket is very good. I think she played the whole year without a single dunk. People can now appreciate her as a complete player rather than a dunker.”

In December, UConn took a 50-39 lead at Baylor with a little more than 13 minutes remaining. It employed a couple of defensive strategies, playing Griner straight up with center Stefanie Dolson, then using double-team help.

Still, Baylor prevailed by 66-61 as Griner collected 25 points, 9 rebounds and 9 blocked shots.

Texas A&M has tried to take the ball directly burberry scarves at Griner and has had some success with a floating zone, placing its center behind Griner and using the star guard Tyra White in a double team. In one of three meetings this season, the Aggies lured Griner into early foul trouble, yet Baylor won each game.

“What’s hard is not to foul her,” Blair said. “She jumps into you. Normally, people like to put a hand in her face to try to distract her. I haven’t found a thing that works consistently.”

The best defense against Griner might be a steadfast perimeter offense, said Muffet McGraw, the coach at Notre Dame, the 2011 national runner-up, which lost to Baylor by 94-81 in November. The Fighting Irish shot only 3 for 18 from 3-point range in that game, McGraw said, while UConn was somewhat more effective a month later against Baylor while hitting 11 of 29 shots beyond the arc.

“You’ve really got to crowd her inside; you can’t let her get 45,” McGraw said of Griner. “There’s also the philosophy of, do you try to hold everybody else down? But I think a lot of it is your burberry kids skirts cheap offense. If you hit your 3s, you’ve got a much better chance, because you’re not going to score around the basket.”

At point guard for Baylor, Odyssey Sims can be just as resourceful as Griner is at center. She is a calming presence who knows when to take over a game, averaging 15 points, shooting 39 percent from 3-point range and possessing the body control to stab inside. She is also hounding in Baylor’s press and man-to-man defense. This allows the tall wing players, Kimetria Hayden and Jordan Madden, to take chances, knowing that Griner is positioned as the ultimate backstop.

“The best thing they do is contest shots,” Blair said. “It’s like watching an N.B.A. game.”

Although Baylor could become vulnerable if burberry bags outlet Griner fell into foul trouble, Blair said: “They don’t call nitpicking fouls in the N.C.A.A. tournament. That’s to Baylor’s advantage. I think they’ll be the most physical defensive team in the tournament.”

The first is that you are female and attractive

There is a good chance that you will burberry handbags outlet fill out an N.C.A.A. basketball tournament bracket for an office pool sometime in the next three days. There is an even better chance that you spent the last four months focused on your family and career, not glued to ESPN. Therefore, you have only a passing familiarity with most of the teams in the tournament, and your bracket selections are just a series of guesses.

Those guesses say little about your basketball acumen but speak volumes about your personality. A tournament bracket can reveal more about a person’s character than handwriting analysis, or even phrenology. Read these five classic bracket archetypes and select the one that best fits your tournament strategy. Then, discover what your bracket tells the world about you. Warning: this system burberry beige handbag is so accurate that it can feel as if we opened a window to your very soul, so make sure you are seated comfortably.

The Favorites Bracket

You select favorites to win nearly every game. First seeds beat 16th seeds, fifth seeds beat 11th seeds, and if you dare pick a ninth seed to “shake things up” against an eighth, you make sure that the hierarchy is reaffirmed in the next round. You have Kentucky beating Syracuse in the final, and you view anyone who does not with suspicion.

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU You feel that societal order must be preserved at all costs, and that disagreeing with the wisdom of the selection committee is the first step toward anarchy. Upsets are for hippies. Rooting for underdogs is subversive. When Bucknell beat Kansas in 2005, you spent two weeks cowering in your fallout shelter eating Meals Ready-to-Eat. You do not have time to focus on a silly tournament, anyway: you have orphanages to foreclose upon and tie tacks to polish. You participate in the office pool only so your subordinates will think you are “one of the gang,” and the plebes totally fall for it. Your children attend military academies. Your pets attend K-9 academies. Your spouse attends support groups.

The Underdogs Bracket

You love a good upset and see no reason Savannah State cannot make the Round of 16 this year. While your bracket includes a few nods to common sense, you find yourself scribbling South Dakota State far more often than anyone not living in South Dakota should.

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU You truly believe that one person can change the world, but you cannot comprehend that Roy Williams or Thomas Robinson is probably that person. You are an incurable optimist, though several pharmaceutical companies are working on it. You applaud at the end of children’s movies, even when you are watching at home on DVD without children present. Your bracket strategy is also your investment strategy, burberry ties which is why you are wearing a sweater with holes in it, and in the unlikely event that Davidson wins the championship, you will use the winnings to help pay off that mortgage you took out in 2007.

The Out-of-Date Bracket

You overrate teams that were powerhouses about 20 years ago. You have Michigan going all the way. Nevada-Las Vegas is in your final four. What: Loyola Marymount did not make the tourney this year? What gives?

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU Back in the early 1990s, you were single and had leisure time and disposable income to spare, so you spent winter evenings at the local tavern, hoisting beers and thrilling to the exploits of Bobby Hurley and Lionel Simmons. But now you have a family and a serious career, leaving you with little time for college basketball, but you cannot bring yourself to admit that your carefree weekends with Jerry Tarkanian ended decades ago. Don’t worry, friend. Grab a flannel shirt, pop the Spin Doctors into your CD player, and get ready for Georgetown and Indiana to make big runs. Your loved ones will break the news gently that you are actually watching ESPN Classic.

The Expert Bracket

You combine favorites with underdogs that you carefully selected based upon their strength of schedule, assist-to-turnover ratio and the expert opinions of the other message board posters at UnhealthyHoopsObsession.com. Your bracket is the product of 36 hours of painstaking research; you took burberry scarves breaks only to rank players 300 through 770 for your nine fantasy baseball drafts.

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU Data are your friends, perhaps your only friends. You understand that the purpose of a tournament pool is not to add zest to your basketball-watching experience or promote water cooler bonding, but to gain the 0.07 percent advantage over your co-workers that comes from turning a small diversion into a life-consuming chore. You believe co-workers admire your ability to steer all break-room conversations away from movies, family and life’s pleasures and toward Baylor’s R.P.I. rating. All the effort was worthwhile, however, when you finished tied for sixth in the pool in 2003, winning $56 and gloating for two days before beginning your research for the next year’s pool.

The Nickname Bracket

You pick the team with the coolest nickname to win every game. Wildcats are cooler than Cavaliers, Blue Devils are tougher than Bears, and while Badgers are fierce, the Wisconsin Honey Badgers would win not only the tournament, burberry kids skirts cheap but a Super Bowl and Wimbledon as well if they existed. When nicknames of indeterminate coolness face off, like Zips versus Shockers, you just flip a coin.

WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOU There are two possibilities. The first is that you are female and attractive. In this situation, your male colleagues find your strategy cute. They also find your sneezing, blinking and existing cute, so do not put too much stock in the intrinsic cuteness of your bracket strategy. The second is that you are an ironic hipster who does not fill out a bracket so much as “fill out a bracket.” The fact that you are too urbane to take the pool seriously is only slightly undercut by your knowledge that Vermont’s nickname is the Catamounts.

In either case, when you inevitably win the pool with this strategy, you are obligated to announce that you watched burberry bags outlet no basketball at all during the tournament, cannot imagine what everyone got so worked up about, and think that sports are overemphasized by society. Then, you must use your winnings to buy a Jeremy Lin jersey. Whether you are ever invited to another office social event depends upon which of the two categories you belong to.

Nobody will take the time to help me

Watson, a long-hitting, shot-shaping savant, carded a 10-under-par 62 on Friday on a course that was unfamiliar to Justin Rose, burberry handbags outlet which was odd considering they were paired together for the second time in two days at the W.G.C.-Cadillac Championship.

Rose posted a 64 while attacking the 7,334-yard layout in a more conventional manner; he aimed away from the water and used his driver judiciously.

Watson is the 36-hole leader, at 12 under, one stroke ahead of Rose, whom he will be paired with again Saturday.

“Some of the lines he takes off tees can suck you into a false sense of security,” Rose said, adding: “He’s cutting off dog legs, and for me it’s not doable. So I think Mark Wilson was a lovely balance burberry beige handbag in the group, to be honest with you.”

Wilson, the third member of the group, carded a two-under 70 that felt a whole lot worse. Afterward, Rose said he told him, “Dude, you must be a bit black and blue.”

He added: “He probably feels like he’s played terribly today, but he played really, really nicely. Hit a lot of quality shots.”

Wilson’s four birdies were footnotes on a day when Watson and Rose combined for 17 birdies and one eagle. The latter was by Watson on the par-5 eighth when he followed a 305-yard drive with a 217-yard three iron to 8 feet and made the putt.

“It was some of the best golf I’ve seen collectively between those two guys,” Wilson said.

The threesome, which was the second group to tee off at No. 10, played its first nine in front of a dozen fans. After both Watson and Rose made the turn at five-under 31, word quickly spread that the two players were on fire, attracting a crowd of rubberneckers as well as a few camera crews for their second nine.

Watson, as he’s wont to do, put on a show. On No. 3, a 441-yard par 4, he took out his driver and aimed at the water along the right. His ball burberry ties carried so far — 321 yards — it cleared the hazard and left him with an ideal angle for his 111-yard approach, which he hit to 11 feet. Watson missed the birdie putt by four inches, but still.

“The line he took,” Rose said, “it was just something like: Oh, it’s dropping. No, he’s got a flip wedge in his hand.”

He laughed.

“When he hits tee shots,” Rose added, “there’s a bit of disbelief and stuff like that. Or he curves one, starts one in the trees and there’s oohing and aahing when it goes back into the fairways. No one knows what to expect, and I think it’s fascinating to watch.”

Rose set the pace with three opening birdies on putts totaling 15 feet. Watson, who birdied two of the first three, birdied Nos. 13 and 14, their fourth and fifth holes. Rose birdied Nos. 16 and 17. “We fed off each other,” Rose said, adding, “You see your playing partner making birdies, you get the mind-set that the course isn’t playing that hard.”

It looked plenty difficult to Rory McIlroy, the newly minted No. 1, who said he struggled on the greens burberry scarves on his way to a 69 for a 36-hole total of two under. Adam Scott, who held a share of the first-round lead with Jason Dufner, is in third place, at 10 under, after a 68. Dufner posted a 72 and is tied for 10th. Tiger Woods shot a 67 and is tied for 15th, seven strokes back.

The only way Watson could have been more shocked with his round is if he had been struck by lightning. In nine previous competitive loops around the Blue Monster, he broke 70 only twice. His average score in two previous tournament appearances here was 72.

“This golf course doesn’t really suit me,” he said. “My eye lines make it tough for me.”

His playing partners, he said, made the course easier. “I made a few putts yesterday and today, just feeding off Rosey, and Mark played burberry kids skirts cheap good,” Watson said.

“Watching the other guys,” he added, “you’re not watching a guy struggle. You’re not watching a guy second-guess himself. You’re watching three guys that shot under par on the Blue Monster that were just playing good golf. The joke that Mark said was, ‘I shot two under and nobody cares.’ It’s funny when you think about it.”

In five starts this year, Watson, a three-time PGA Tour winner, has five top-20 finishes. He said he has been working on his mental approach, but not with an expert.

“Nobody will take the time to help me,” he quipped. “That’s a lot of work. No, it’s just me, just stuff that I’m burberry bags outlet doing, consciously doing, thinking about trying to slow down, trying to focus more mentally and trying to slow down on the golf course a little bit.”
